Cristiano Ronaldo fired a hat-trick as Juventus beat Atletico Madrid 3-0 to turn their tie on its head and reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
Late goals from from Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin had earned Atletico a 2-0 first-leg advantage, but Ronaldo headed Juve level with headers in either half and converted a late penalty to clinch a deserved 3-2 aggregate win.
Ronaldo produced two towering headers and showed ice cool nerves to smash home an 86th-minute spot-kick after Federico Bernardeschi went down under Angel Correa’s challenge.
It was the Portuguese’s 22nd goal in 36 games for Juve and his 23rd in 33 appearances against the Spanish club.
Ronaldo and his team-mates celebrated a stunning fightback with a team photo in the changing room afterwards.
Several members of the squad took to social media to toast a fine victory.

Blaise Matuidi hailed Ronaldo as the best in the world after his heroics.
“It was an extraordinary performance from everyone, a really special night,” Matuidi told Sky Sport Italia.
“We are happy to have qualified for the quarter-finals, but we’ve got to keep this going and do even better. Just three weeks ago, everyone assumed we were out, so let’s go slowly before talking about the Final.
“I do think we always need to play the way we did tonight. I am very happy here, as we have many quality players, a very strong team and Cristiano Ronaldo , who is the best in the world.
“He made the difference at Real Madrid last season and this time he’s with us, so that is why we believe even more.”
